Applications Sought for UCO Leadership Class EDMOND--Applications are being accepted for the University of Central Oklahoma’s inaugural Black Male Summit Leadership Class. The program, an extension of the university’s annual Black Male Summit one-day conference, is designed to foster the next generation of leaders by empowering young Black men, according to a news release. Virtual class sessions will be held from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Wednesdays from Sept. 23, through Oct. 21 (except for Oct. 14) The virtual class is a five-week allows students to learn and master leadership skills, the news release said. The class The class was originally scheduled for March, but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, said Dene Roseburr Olotu, director of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at the university. The deadline for the receipt of applications from high school and college students is Friday, Sept. 4.
