ONE man is dead and two were wounded in an early-morning attack in O'Meara Industrial Estate, Malabar on July 1.
Police said around 12.35 am on July 1, they responded to reports of gunshots in the area and found the body of Nicholas Sebro, 35, of Phase 7, La Horquetta.
Sebro was found in a silver Hyundai Creta parked in the road near MIC. He was wearing jeans, a denim jacket and white sneakers.
Police were later told two people – a 33-year-old man from Diego Martin and a 45-year-old woman from Caroni – were both shot and taken to the Arima Health Facility.
Hospital officials told them the 33-year-old man was shot six times in both sides of the buttocks, and the 45-year-old had minor injuries to the back of her neck and grazes on her upper right arm.
Police said, both victims are in a stable condition and the man was transferred to Mt Hope Hospital for further treatment.
They interviewed both victims but said no useful information was obtained.
Special Evidence Recovery Unit recovered eight spent 9mm shell casings and eight spent 5.56 shell casings along with one live round of 9mm and 5.56 ammunition.
Investigations are continuing.
