Three Jamaica cops were charged in a sweeping narcotics operation involving high-profile United States law-enforcement agents in two American cities on Tuesday.
The arrested cops were reportedly intercepted by agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Atlanta and Charlotte.
The fourth cop, a woman constable, was flown back home and is now in the custody of the St. James police.
Dennis Brooks, a communication specialist for the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), confirmed that the four had interactions with security agents in the US.
Two of the cops were nabbed in an operation in the city of Charlotte in Georgia while the other two were held in Atlanta.
