The Nina Simone And Kamala Harris Connection, Explained. - Blavity

Vice President Kamala Harris is being accused of separating singer Nina Simone’s family from her estate, however, a business associate of the late singer says that’s not the case at all. TMZ  obtained  Simone’s will and discovered the late singer wanted most of her estate assets to go towards a charitable trust that would “benefit the musical education of Black African children from Ghana, Liberia and South Africa” and that’s exactly what Harris did. While the connection between the two may seem random, here's how it happened:
