The foundations of Black History Month - Dallas Examiner

Black History Month was established in 1926 by Dr. Carter G. Woodson to celebrate the accomplishments of Black people and to address the structural inequities in our system, and is now celebrated by Presidents, but many are unwilling to address the history of enslavement, exploitation and oppression.
