[Dabanga] New York -- UN Secretary-General António Guterres has appealed to the international community to renew focus on finding an end to the brutal war in Sudan. "The world must not forget the people of Sudan," Guterres says, in a statement to mark the second anniversary of the outbreak of the war between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on April 15, 2023, that has left "a crisis of staggering proportions, with civilians paying the highest price".
