Several chess players and well-wishers gathered at the Gros Islet Human Resource Centre on Sunday for the National High School Chess Championships.  A total of 70 participants showcased their skills in this strategic and competitive sport. The tournament is part of a broader Sports ministry initiative to promote chess in schools and aligns with the government’s efforts to enhance alternative sports on the island.
