Pierre: Saint Lucia Ready To Assist After Deadly Haiti Earthquake

In the aftermath Saturday of a devastating 7.2 magnitude earthquake in Haiti, Saint Lucia Prime Minister, Philip J. Pierre, has said that the government of this country stands in the vanguard, ready to assist in any effort that its sister  Caribbean Community (CARICOM) nation may require in the aftermath of the tragedy. Officials in Haiti have confirmed that more than 300 people died and some 2,000 were injured  as a result of the earthquake. The search is continuing for survivors.
