Patriotic Front launches 'season of hope' - Trinidad and Tobago Newsday

THE Patriotic Front has announced a new campaign to spread hope, change and unity over the next 24 days.

The party is led by Mickela Panday, daughter of former prime minister Basdeo Panday.

In a statement on November 30, the political party said it was excited to launch a heart-warming Christmas initiative: Time For Change: A Season of Hope.

"Over the next 24 days, starting December 1, the party will bring festive cheer, community outreach, and a message of unity to every corner of Trinidad and Tobago with its ground-breaking campaign to spread love, support, and hope to all.

Panday, party members and volunteers will host a series of events, activities and surprises during this period across the country to "bring the holiday spirit to life and empower communities in meaningful ways."

Some activities will include visits to orphanages and senior citizens' homes to interactive holiday experiences in major shopping districts.

Panday was very excited about this initiative.

"This Christmas, we have an incredible opportunity to show the people of TT that change doesn’t just come from the top – it comes from us, together, as one nation."

Through this 24-day celebration, Panday said, the party will seek to remind people that "just as we stand together in politics, we stand together in love, compassion, and hope this holiday season."

She made it clear this initiative is not a political slogan.

"It’s a call to action. A call for us to change how we approach each other, how we support each other, and how we uplift our communities."
