Michael Jordan Pledges $100 million To Black Community

Legendary basketball player Michael Jordan, and his Jordan Brand pledged $100 million over 10 years to organizations “dedicated to fighting racial inequality, social justice, and greater education,” Jordan Brand announced in a statement Friday afternoon.

Jordon released a message and tweeted the following statement via twitter:

“Black lives matter.

Jordan, who typically remained silent on social issues during his playing days, spoke out this week about George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis.

We have had enough” , said Michael Jordan.

Jordan joins the many black celebrities and athletes that haven’t just talked about change, but done something to push us another step closer to it.
