A new surge in COVID-19 cases is taking its toll on health services at Martinique's understaffed University Hospital, with the result that some patients will be transferred to France, local reports say. 'The impact on the hospital is major,' RCI Martinique quoted Hospital Director, Benjamin Garel, as saying. On Saturday, the Regional Health Agency and the University Hospital issued an appeal to medical personnel who have retired within the past five years and other trained professionals to assist in providing health care at the
