Les saltimbanques « toujours sur le konpa » | Haiti Liberte

Depuis mon enfance, le mot saltimbanque traîne avec lui une connotation de ti vakabon nuancée de manque de sérieux.  À écouter ma grand-mère paternelle l’employer, c’était toujours péjoratif. Quand elle évoquait yon bann saltenbank, je savais à quoi m’en tenir. Avec le temps, j’ai sans doute appris à mettre un peu d’eau dans mon vin de compréhension du mot saltimbanque. Mais, jusqu’à un certain point, Grand-mère n’avait pas tout à fait tort. Je m’en vais vous dire pourquoi.
