Dans un entretien à France 24, le président du Conseil présidentiel de transition à Haïti, Leslie Voltaire, revient sur la situation sécuritaire dans le pays, l'ONU s'inquiétant d'une prise de pouvoir des gangs sur l'ensemble de Port-au-Prince. Selon le président de transition, les forces de l'ordre gardent le contrôle de la capitale, notamment grâce à l'aide extérieure. Leslie Voltaire compte par ailleurs sur le maintien de l'aide américaine au développement que Donald Trump a suspendue.
