The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) recently announced new protocols across major hotel chains would include hand sanitizer dispensers in guest entrances and contact spots and using “superior cleaning products” that focus on bacteria-killing ingredients, in accordance with The Centers for Disease Control guidelines.
“It’s difficult to distinguish between legitimate cleaning efforts and public relations,” Sheryl Kline, a professor at the University of Delaware who has researched hotel hygiene told USA Today.
