Dimitri Hérard, the head of security at the presidential palace in Haiti, was taken into custody on Wednesday as part of an investigation into the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse, The Washington Post reported. It’s unclear if charges will be filed against Hérard in connection with the killing. Léon Charles, the head of Haiti’s National Police, confirmed to the Post that Hérard was no longer in his position. Haitian law enforcement confiscated his guns and cell phones, CNN reported.
