Six students at Florida A&M University (FAMU) are taking on the Sunshine State in the name of fighting funding inequities between historically Black colleges and universities ( HBCUs ) and predominately white institutions (PWIs). The lawsuit was filed this past Thursday, and the disparities between how Florida funds FAMU and the University of Florida are at the center of the matter.
