Des bandits armés ont assassiné, dans l’après-midi du mercredi 19 janvier, le commissaire de police Jean Ismay Auguste et sa femme Clotilde Vilus, une employée de la mairie de la Croix-des-Bouquets. Selon des informations parvenues à la rédaction de Haïti 24, leur fille qui les accompagnait est sortie blessée dans cette attaque.
