The number of coronavirus-related hospitalizations in Maryland fell to 602 Monday even as the state's overall number of cases and death toll increase.
The state's number of confirmed cases rose to 64,603 on Monday, up 297 from the previous day, according to the state health department.
The number of confirmed deaths stands at 2,945, up slightly from Sunday.
However, the state positivity rate is at 5.03% Monday, holding steady from the day before.
Gov. Larry Hogan began the second phase of the state's reopening plan earlier this month, after the positivity rate dropped to single digits for the first time since March.
