Buddy (Claude Henry Keystone) Young (1926-).

Buddy Young became the first black to score a Rose Bowl touchdown, in the University of Illinois vs. UCLA New Year's Day game. Young joined the AAFC New York Yankees in 1947 and eventually played for the Cleveland Browns from 1953 to 1955. In 1964 he became the first director of players relations for the NFL, the first black to hold an executive position with the league. His football jersey was retired by the Baltimore Colts in 1965, a first for a team.
