Your article about local Black Lives Matter chapters demanding to know the whereabouts of the millions of dollars in donations received over the past summer reminds me of the famous speech by Malcolm X during the 1950s ("Chapters revolt against Black Lives Matter," Page 1, Dec. 3). He was reminding Black Americans how easily we are manipulated by outside groups that serve no purpose in improving the quality of our lives. He used words and phrases such as hoodwinked, lead astray and bamboozled. The only difference in 2020 is that instead of White America being the source, it's the African-Americans who created Black Lives Matter.
