Black Homeowner's Appraisal Doubled After a White Friend Stood in for Her

After leaving her race off appraisal paperwork, removing family photographs and African artwork, and also having a white friend stand in for her during a home appraisal, Carlette Duffy said the third appraisal rose to $259,000. The initial one provided by another company was $110,000.
