Jazz 91.9 WCLK announcer Rodney Evans, the host of “Joy in the Morning,” celebrates 35 years of broadcasting gospel music.
“Jazz 91.9 WCLK fostered my passion for sharing Gospel music,” Evans said.
Currently, the president of the Atlanta, Gospel Radio Announcers Guild, the popular on-air personality started his career in broadcasting as a volunteer production assistant at the station and held down many positions at WCLK, including program coordinator and membership direction.
Outside of gospel music, Evans spent 20 years as a part of the Fulton County Juvenile Citizen Panel Review (Panel #17), of which he has faithfully served as chairman during his entire tenure.
“Rodney Evans is a pacemaker in the Gospel music community,” said Wendy Williams, general manager, Jazz 91.9 WCLK.
