FAIR USE NOTICE

Blackfacts collects content from a variety of publicly available online sources via automated tools, and as a result may occasionally contain copyrighted material the use of which has not always been specifically authorized by the copyright owner.

We make our content available in our efforts to advance understanding of historical, environmental, political, human rights, economic, democracy, scientific, and social justice issues, etc.

We believe this constitutes a ‘fair use’ of any such copyrighted material as provided for in section 107 of the US Copyright Law.

In accordance with Title 17 U.S.C. Section 107, the material on this site is distributed without profit to those who have expressed a prior interest in receiving the included information for research and educational purposes.

HOW TO REQUEST THE REMOVAL OF COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL FROM BLACKFACTS.COM

If you find that copyrighted material of yours has been imported into our systems, we are happy to remove it, or provide attribution in the form of a text message and link of your choice.

As Blackfacts pages are generated via automated tools and a single Blackfacts page always includes content from a large number of sources, to identify specific images, we need the unique image address, rather than the page the image was being displayed on.

To get the unique image address, right-click over the image and select ‘Copy image address.’ Then create a new email message to support@blackfacts.com and Paste the image address ALONG WITH the page address in your web browser, as well as whether you are requesting removal or attribution.

If you are requesting removal, we will remove the image within 48 hours of receipt of your message.

If you are requesting attribution, we will reply to you with additional steps.

THANK YOU for helping Blackfacts share historical and current news with readers from across the world!
